This is a great family friendly recipe that will impress everyone! Serve in tacos or make a pulled brisket sandwich in a toasted bun. Any way you serve it is bound to be a crowd pleaser!
2lb. Beef Brisket
½ Medium Onion
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
½ Tsp Black Pepper
Kosher Salt and Black Pepper to your taste
½ Bottle of Coke, Dr. Pepper or any non-diet soda
1 Tbsp brown sugar
½ cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tsp red wine vinegar
Cut the onion into slices and toss into a crock pot. Sprinkle meat generously with salt, pepper and the tsp of garlic powder. Place meat on top of sliced onions. Pour the soda over top and sprinkle in the brown sugar. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 7 hours.
Once meat has cooked remove from pot and shred with two forks. Remove almost all the liquid from the crock pot and place shredded meat back inside. Add the BBQ sauce, soy sauce and red wine vinegar and cook on low for 15 -20 min.
